They coordinated with various contractors to install a Kohler standby generator on the roof, ensuring backup power for the essential MDF room. DeJong and Potter Electric, Inc. successfully completed the project on time and within budget.

Brown & Brown

In 2023, DeJong & Potter Electric, Inc. began demolishing 10,140 sq ft on the 2nd floor of 2851 Charlevoix, known as Centennial Plaza, to create a space for Brown & Brown Insurance. The renovated space includes 18 offices, 2 conference rooms, a large break room, and 56 cubicles, with upgrades like architectural LED center basket troffers and ASHRAE-standard controls. Despite the need to move panels for the new layout, the project was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.

CU Answers

DeJong & Potter Electric, Inc. successfully coordinated the relocation of a Kohler standby generator from Muskegon to Grand Rapids for CU Answers. The project involved intricate planning and tight deadlines, with components like the generator, transfer switch, and wiring synchronized for seamless relocation. Despite the complexity, the generator was transported, installed, and commissioned smoothly on the prepared pad at the new site, providing essential backup power for CU Answers. This unique project showcased effective coordination and execution of multiple moving parts.

Enwork

In 2020, we were able to complete a design-build for a 16,500sqft office, 50,000sqft warehouse and manufacturing space for Enwork in Lowell, MI. We worked with the GC and building owner on what finishes, light levels they required and what power requirements were needed for their manufacturing equipment. This was another fun project to work on that finished on time and another owner that was happy with the finished product.

Lee & Birch

In February of 2024 the team at DeJong & Potter was tasked with a design-build project by Construction Simplified for a building that they owned for a new tenant, Lee & Birch. It was a small but fast paced project that needed to be completed by 4/01/2024. Design kicked off immediately with input from the building owner and tenant. The project was designed quickly, the permit pulled and the rough in work began immediately. On 3/22/2024 we were done and waiting on the tenant for their provided track heads for a final inspection. Another project delivered; on time and in budget.

Peerless

In 2021, were able to partner up with AVB Construction to complete a 120 unit apartment project in Grand Haven. The project consisted of 4 buildings, parking lot lighting, carports and a clubhouse with a pool. This project did not go without some challenges mainly due to supply chain issues, which we all worked through as a team to finish the project on time.

Planet Fitness

In 2013, we remodeled 22,000 sqft of mall space for the Muskegon Planet Fitness located on Henry Street. A relationship was formed which grew from there. The general contractor and franchisee saw the value that we brought to the project along with positive thinking and hard work to complete the project on time. Since then, we have remodeled spaces on Apple Ave (Muskegon), Grand Haven, Plainfield, and Shawmut Hills. We also wired from the ground up 2 locations. One in Byron Center and one on Alpine Ave. This relationship continues as we service and refresh these facilities and are currently under construction on a space in South Holland.

Red Cedar

Red Cedar Investment Management was a fun project in Bridgewater Place. With high end finishes and controls, the space turned out to be a showcase of a project.

Rivian

In 2023, we were tasked with our second Electric Vehicle center. This time it was a 16,300 square foot Service Center for Rivian. The job consisted of office space, parts warehouse, and a service area. Along with all of your typical mechanic shop equipment, there were over 20 Vehicle chargers throughout the interior and exterior of the building. It was another project finished on time, and another happy customer.
